117 Cambridge Street, Cambridge MA

Cambridge, MA – Freudenheim Partners is pleased to announce the successful sale of two Cambridge properties on behalf of Just A Start, a nonprofit organization committed to promoting equity by providing access to stable housing and building pathways to economic opportunity.

1035 Cambridge Street, a 2,961 SF office condominium located in Cambridge, bordering Somerville, MA was purchased by Michael Grill of Fairlane Properties for $1,275,000.

1175 Cambridge Street, a 7,470 SF retail space on the ground floor and lower level of the building was acquired by the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority for $1,975,000, with future redevelopment potential aligned with the CRA’s long-term economic development efforts. Freudenheim and Ellie Cullinan of Freudenheim Partners represented Just A Start in the transactions and procured the buyers for both properties.

“Ellie and Leigh were excellent partners with Just A Start in these two transactions, which were critically important parts of our development of and relocation to our new headquarters at Rindge Commons near Alewife Station,” said Carl Nagy-Koechlin, Just A Start’s Executive Director.

As part of its continued growth, Just A Start has relocated to its newly built headquarters at Rindge Commons, located at 430 Rindge Avenue in Cambridge. The 70,000 SF mixed-use development near Alewife Station serves as an “economic mobility hub”, housing all of Just A Start’s programs, including workforce training initiatives in biomedical, IT, and youth construction careers, housing development and services, and financial opportunity programs. The project also includes four pre-K classrooms and 24 affordable residential apartments. The modern facility enhances Just A Start’s ability to serve the community while fostering a mission-driven, collaborative environment.
