North End Property Sells for $9 Million+; Hotel Planned
June 13, 2022
A highly-visible parcel in Boston's North End neighborhood has sold for $9,505,750.
In March 2022, the new buyer, Cross Street Ventures LLC, received approval from the Boston Planning and Development Agency to demolish existing structures and construct a 134-key boutique hotel with two ground-floor restaurant uses and seasonal rooftop dining with a total seating capacity of approximately 300 persons between Endicott Street and Salem Street, a somewhat smaller project than initially proposed.
The project will consist of a five-story building with a gross floor area of approximately 69,613 square feet of space. An open-air passageway from the Rose Kennedy Greenway to Cutillo Park is included in the plans.
The property was the long-time location of J Pace and Sons market and deli until its closure more than a decade ago.
