Amrheins Property in South Boston Sells for $22.5 Million

The property at 80 West Broadway in South Boston has sold, again, for $22.25 million.
Currently the location of Amrheins restaurant, the site has been approved for a multi-use project. The existing four-story, brick building will be converted into a street-level café or smaller bar/restaurant space while the one-story addition next door will be demolished and replaced.
The remainder of the site will be redeveloped with a new, five-story, approximately 87,000 square-foot, mixed-use building, with general office and product development or prototype manufacturing uses space (and expressly excluding basic laboratory use), and including restaurant / retail / services space totaling approximately 2,900 square feet at the ground floor. The project will also include approximately 25 below-grade parking spaces.
As first reported on The Real Reporter site, the sellers GFI and Matteson Cos. have owned the property since 2019 when it purchased it from the long-term owner for $16.5 million..The new owner is Shorenstein Partners.
