BOSTON — The independent full-servie real estate firn, Hunneman, founded in 1929, reported closing out 2025 with impressive totals across its core services lines, including leasing, property management, and investment sales, completing more than $260 million in sales and over 2.5 million square feet of transactions on behalf of clients across a variety of industries and property types including life science, multifamily, industrial, office, and medical space. Building upon its property management expertise, the firm now oversees a portfolio exceeding 16.6 million square feet throughout New England. Despite a challenging market, Hunneman brokered over 1.9 million square feet of leases on behalf of its landlord and tenant clients in 2025.
“We are thankful to all our clients who trust us in leasing, selling, managing, and providing the highest level of service and industry expertise for their properties in New England and elsewhere around the country,” said Steve Prozinski, CEO and COO of Hunneman. “In the last year, we have seen remarkable growth across our business lines, including major expansions in our property management portfolio and brokerage services. Our work in 2025 is a reflection of the success of our clients and the dedication of our team in fulfilling Hunneman’s mission to deliver market expertise, integrity, and personalized service.”
Hunneman’s investment sales teams marked 2025 by completing over 30 sales totaling more than $260 million across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. Two recent transactions include the $17.5 million sale of 2 Iris Court, a garden-style apartment community in Acton, Mass., which was stabilized with strong existing cash flow, providing the buyer with an excellent opportunity to acquire a sizable property in a premier suburban location. Additionally, the $6.5 million sale of an 81,961-square-foot, seven-building, mixed-use portfolio encompassing 15 commercial suites and 46 apartments on High Street in Holyoke successfully closed before year’s end. Hunneman’s Investment Sales team of Carl Christie and Dan McGee represented the sellers of Iris Court and the Holyoke portfolio in these transactions.
The Seaport Boston-based company also brokered over 1.9 million square feet in leases, representing tenant and landlord clients. Notable deals from the year included the execution of seven new office leases totaling 50,339 square feet at 201 Broadway in Cambridge in partnership with The Davis Companies. The activity at 201 Broadway represented the most leases executed of any individual office property in Cambridge in 2025. Another significant transaction included the 70,872 square-foot industrial lease at 200 Danton Drive in Methuen on behalf of the building’s tenant CMC North America, serving as the company’s new headquarters. The deals, among the over 90 leasing transactions executed throughout the year, exemplified the firm’s expertise across markets and its ongoing commitment to client success.
The year was marked by a sizable growth in Hunneman’s property management portfolio of over 66 percent, with the addition of over 6.4 million square feet of properties across 31 new assets managed across New England. Notably, the team expanded its industrial portfolio with additions including 241 Francis Ave in Mansfield, where the team also brokered a 96,000-square-foot lease for US Lumber Group on behalf of the landlord, Oliver Street Capital.
