Driscoll, McKinnon Broker 20,000-SF Quincy Sublease

QUINCY — There is more to love of TopSource LLC at 3 Batterymarch Park following a sublease that has expanded the retail food cooperative’s headquarters by another 8,000 sf, giving the firm a total footprint there of 20,000 sf. The commitment was negotiated by Richard McKinnon of the Grossman Cos. on behalf of TopSource LLC, while sub-landlord Aviva Life & Annuity Co. was advised by Cushman &Wakefield principal John “Jay” Driscoll.
Owned by the National Fire Protection Association, 3 Batterymarch Park is one of four Class A buildings in the 50-acre campus that is prominently situated at the juncture of Routes 3 and 128 and the Southeast Expressway. Director of Leasing at the Grossman Cos., McKinnon had previously assisted TopSource in its initial lease at 3 Batterymarch Park, a five-story, 107,000-sf building that is fully occupied. Financial terms of the sublease expansion were not provided by either party. A Q1 survey by Jones Lang LaSalle estimates Route 128 South lease rates averaging $20.84 per sf for first class product.
