DPM Assists Ascend in Move to 80,000-SF HQ
February 24, 2012
BURLINGTON — Diversified Project Management has completed a two-pronged construction and relocation project encompassing 80,000 sf at 5 Wall St. The initiative included a 55,000-sf assignment for Jones & Bartlett, a subsidiary of Ascend Learning that has consolidated regional operations on the building’s third floor, and the addition of Ascend Learning to the fourth floor.
Project Executive John Waitkunas, project executive; Senior Project Planner Jean Nuzzo and Project Manager Liz Dalton led the DPM effort on behalf of Jones & Bartlett and Ascend. A global provider of instructional, assessment and learning-performance management solutions for the secondary, post-secondary and professional educational markets, Jones & Bartlett relocated from Maynard and Sudbury locations to the Burlington building that sits overlooking Route 128.
DPM counseled the client beginning with lease review and property due diligence to assess building efficiency and team members continued to assist the tenant on construction administration, FF&E coordination and move planning. The turnkey assignment involved the Gutierrez Co. as landlord and Cube 3 serving as fit out architect. WB Engineers was also on the team and Gutierrez provided MEP/FP engineering services on a subcontractor design/build basis. Doing so ensured the tenant program was complete and delivery system was streamlined to expedite occupancy, DPM officials outline in a press release announcing the project conclusion for Newton-based DPM, an independent owner’s representative consulting company that also has offices in Hartford and Stamford, CT.
