BOSTON — International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced that its Boston office has officially opened in its new home at Lyrik Back Bay, the Samuels & Associates-developed property at 1001 Boylston Street, marking an important milestone for the law office and reinforcing the Firm’s longstanding commitment to the market. Weil first established its Boston presence in 2002 and has relocated from 100 Federal Street in the Financial District.

According to a release, the new office expands Weil’s Boston footprint by one-third to more than 37,000 square feet, reflecting the continued growth of the Firm in the market and its commitment to creating an exceptional environment for clients and employees.

“Our move to this new, signature space in Boston marks a significant milestone and underscores the importance of this key market to our clients, our lawyers and the Firm’s long-term strategy,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “Boston has long been an important center for our clients and our practice. The new office accommodates our growing team of exceptional attorneys and enhances our ability to deliver the collaborative, high-caliber service our clients expect from Weil.”

The space spans two floors, featuring a dedicated reception and conference center and thoughtfully designed areas to support collaboration, connection and innovation. The new patio space offers a unique setting for events and gatherings, further enhancing the office’s ability to host clients and engage as a community.

Since January 1, 2025, Weil has added seven partners to its Boston office – six lateral hires and one internal promotion. These additions have expanded and strengthened the office’s capabilities across private equity and private funds, employment, banking and finance, technology and IP transactions, litigation and regulatory matters.

“I am proud of what our Boston team has accomplished and excited about what this move means for the future,” said Jakub Wronski, Co-Managing Partner of Weil’s Boston office. “This new space was thoughtfully designed to support the way we work—bringing our lawyers together, encouraging collaboration across practices and creating room for continued growth. Just as importantly, it provides an environment where we can work even more closely with our clients to solve their most complex challenges.”

The new office space expands the Firm’s Boston footprint by one-third: from 28,174 square feet to 37,379 square feet. Weil also recently secured additional space within the building, with a phased expansion planned over the next year, ensuring that the office continues to evolve alongside its ongoing growth.

Lyrik Back Bay is home to such leading organizations as CarGurus and LEGO and features an array of amenities, including the newly opened Avra restaurant, placing Weil in the heart of one of Boston’s most vibrant and dynamic neighborhoods.
