Hamilton Signs New Japanese and Korean Inspired Retail to Historic Boylston St Location

August 21, 2026
62 Boylston Street, Boston

Boston — The Hamilton Company has entered into a 10-year commercial lease agreement with SOVE for 1,100 SF at 62 Boylston Street, which formerly housed a Starbucks. The lease agreement commenced on August 13th, and construction to fit up the space will begin soon, with early 2027 being the target for opening.

“Our lease agreement with SOVE brings an emerging new presence to Downtown Boston,” said Jameson Brown, Chairman and CEO of The Hamilton Company. “SOVE will not only bring an incredible new dining experience to the Theatre District but will enable patrons to sample Japanese and Korean culture in the area.”

SOVE brings the flavors and aesthetics of Tokyo and Seoul to Boston through specialty coffee, Japanese rice balls (onigiri), premium Korean teas and ceremonial-grade matcha. The contemporary space will also feature a curated selection of works by emerging artists. Its motto is “A Bite of Tokyo. A Sip of Seoul. A Moment of Calm.”

Chris DiGuiseppe, Director of Leasing for Realty Partners Northeast, represented the tenant, SOVE, during the leasing negotiations. The Hamilton Company was represented by Carol Rash, THC’s Director of Commercial Property & Asset Management.

“We are thrilled to work with SOVE,” said Rash. “Their unique menu and tranquil settings will appeal to the wide variety of patrons who explore the Theatre District every day looking for a new experience, culinary or otherwise.”
