GBREB Installs New Leadership Board for 2018; DiMella Named Chairman

Installation of Greater Boston Real Estate Board Officers

BOSTON—On Wednesday, January 17th, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB) held its Installation of Officers at WilmerHale, 60 State Street in Boston. With more than 100 members in attendance, the committee swore in four GBREB Officers and five division Presidents.

To determine the new board, GBREB chose from former officers of the different divisions that comprise the association Michael DiMella became Chairman of the 2018 board after serving as 2014 GBAR President. He also works as a REALTOR® and Managing Partner of Charlesgate Realty Group. Michael Hussey, 2013 REFA President, assumed the position of Chairman-Elect with his experience as a Senior Vice President and New England Market Manager in addition to his other roles in Commercial Real Estate and the US Bank. Former 2012 BOMA President Erika Clarke became the Treasurer given her roles as VP of Commercial Property Management and National Development. Finally, William Dermody will act as Clerk/Assistant Treasurer given his experience as 2012 GBAR President and Sales Manager with Century 21 Commonwealth in Needham.

As for the leaders of its five divisions, GBREB chose amongst a variety of leaders in the CRE industry. Paul Ayoub, Partner at Nutter, McClennen & Fish LLP, will assume the role of 2018 REFA President. Meanwhile, Amy Bush, RPA, LEED GA, Vice President of Operations at Brookfield Property Partners, will lead BOMA as President for 2018. Serving as Senior Vice President at McCall & Almy, John Dolan will also now serve as CBA’s President. Similarly, Kate Franco, CEO of Trinity Management, LLC, assumes the role of RHA President, while Marie Presti, Broker/Owner of The Presti Group, will oversee GBAR as President.

Both leadership teams will work across GBREB’s divisions to plan networking and educational events with the goal of supporting members who make up the various aspects of the Greater Boston CRE industry. Meanwhile, they will also work to organize advocacy and philanthropy projects that aim to give back to the larger community.
