WALTHAM–CTA Construction Managers announced that Vice Presidents Paul DuRoss and Jeff Hazelwood have been promoted to Principals of the firm. In these roles, they will assume responsibility for running the day-to-day operations of the company.
Throughout their fifteen years at the firm, DuRoss and Hazelwood have been instrumental in the company’s growth. In addition to further expanding the company as Principals, they will also utilize their leadership and experience to oversee complex building construction projects and provide additional opportunities for employees.
DuRoss and Hazelwood succeed CTA Construction co-founders and former Principals Patrick Tompkins and Lyle Coghlin, who will remain with the firm as directors. “After 17 years and over $1 billion in completed construction we feel it is the right time to allow the next generation of talent to lead CTA into the future,” says Tompkins. As directors, Tompkins and Coghlin will continue to provide guidance and focus on new growth opportunities and strategic initiatives aimed at expanding CTA’s footprint in the institutional and commercial real estate development space.
“We are confident that under Paul and Jeff’s leadership CTA will continue to provide its clients with exceptional construction services and high-quality building projects,” Tompkins claims. Both DuRoss and Hazelwood have extensive experience in construction management. Hazelwood has overseen a number of complex, deadline driven projects and specializes in engineering and the procurement of materials, equipment, and trade contractors. DuRoss has worked at every level of construction, which has given him the technical experience, skills and knowledge necessary to manage and deliver logistically complex projects that require intensive coordination. Under their leadership, CTA projects have been recognized with a variety of industry awards for construction excellence, including “Project of the Year” from the American Public Works Association and “Building Project of the Year” from Construction Management Association of America.
