BOSTON—Tishman Speyer announced the appointment of Jessica Hughes to Managing Director and head of its Boston office. With the firm’s local portfolio consisting of signature commercial properties including 125 High Street, One Federal Street and One Channel Center, along with the Pier 4 office, she will take on a variety of new responsibilities as the director. In her new position, she will oversee new developments, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and operations in the Boston area.
Hughes joins the firm after a successful eight-year tenure at Jones Lang LaSalle where she served most recently as Managing Director in the firm’s Boston Capital Markets Group and a member of that firm’s International Capital Group. She co-led a team responsible for more than $6.5 billion of transactions since 2013. Previously Hughes was a Senior Vice President at Beacon Capital Partners, responsible for acquisitions and dispositions in major U.S. markets. She also established offices for Beacon in London and Paris.
Tishman Speyer’s President and CEO Rob Speyer is looking forward to the new stewardship. “We have a very positive long-term view of the Boston real estate market, and we would like to increase our presence with the best possible talent. With her local experience and expertise, we think Jess is the perfect person to lead the way. We are pleased that she elected to join us, Speyer proudly announced.”
A graduate of Dartmouth College, Hughes participates in various community boards alongside her roles in the CRE industry. Namely, she serves on the board of the Boston Center for the Arts and on the Urban Land Institute’s Boston Market Council.
