Stantec Expands Science & Technology Practice Hires AIA Vet Berndt

​BOSTON–Gregory Berndt, AIA has joined Stantec, a leading global design and engineering firm, as a senior associate supporting the firm’s Science & Technology practice in New England. Berndt brings more than 30 years of architectural design and project management experience focused on science, research, teaching, and office facilities.

According to a release, Berndt will support Stantec’s team growth and development while providing project management to ensure design excellence and delivery for the firm’s lab and science work.

“Greg’s hands-on work as a trusted counselor for some of the market’s top institutions perfectly complements the skills and knowledge of our growing regional team,” said Michael Reagan, Vice President, Sector Leader for Science & Technology at Stantec. “We are confident his specialized market perspective will prove valuable in our ongoing mission to deliver high performing, advanced facilities.”

Berndt has extensive experience in planning, programming, and design for new construction and renovation projects for corporate, academic, and health science institutions. Prior to his role at Stantec, he served as an associate principal, senior project manager at a global architecture practice in Boston. His work experience includes project management and planning for such institutions as Harvard University, University of Notre Dame, Lawrence University, EMD Serono, and Eisai Pharmaceuticals.
