Hunneman Complete 66,000 SF Lease in Wilmington for Energetiq Technology

BOSTON — Hunneman recently completed a 66,000 SF lease for Energetiq Technology at 205 Lowell Street in Wilmington. Hunneman represented the landlord, Howland Development and the tenant in the long-term deal. Hunneman’s North Suburban team of Executive Vice President, Chris Curley, Senior Vice President, Ken Oppenheim and Vice President, Michael Allen worked in collaboration with Howland Development, specifically Jamie McManus. The Tenant, Energetiq Technologies, was also represented by Chris Curley.
Energetiq had previously leased ± 31,000 SF of flex/R&D space in the ±123,000 SF flex/light manufacturing building and will be expanding into the neighboring space of 35,000 RSF in the fall, serving as both their U.S. corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility. The space is presently occupied by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection
“It was very lucky that we were able to come to favorable deal terms and expand at the facility into abutting space in such a tight market,” said Hunneman’s Chris Curley.
Established in 2004, Energetiq a Hamamatsu company, designs, develops and manufactures ultra-bright broadband light sources for complex scientific and engineering applications. Energetiq focuses on rapid development and on-time delivery of reliable, long-lasting products for volume production applications of industrial and photonics instruments.
Howland development owns and operates over 1.5 million RSF of Office, R&D, and Industrial space in the Route 93 North submarket. With the completion of the 66,000 SF lease with Energetiq at 205 Lowell Street, Howland is fully leased throughout their portfolio, and are seeking new development opportunities in the Greater Boston region.
