Hunneman Announces Emerging Leadership; Prozinski and Evans’ Direction Coincides with New Identity

303 Congress Street, Boston MA

BOSTON–Founded in 1929 the Long-standing commercial brokerage and services firm, Hunneman unveiled a bold, modern brand identity to coincide with the changing and emerging leadership announcement of Stephen M. Prozinski to Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, and Peter W. Evans, Executive Vice President, and Managing Principal.

The reveal comes after a year plus branding initiatives with Boston based State6, a communications firm, who surveyed clients and analyzed the Boston landscape to develop new initiatives and move the identity forward, according to Prozinski. Under its new singularity, gone is the prefix of NAI; a strategy that Prozinski attributes to modernizing the independent shop. “After we spoke to dozens of clients and assessed our partners and colleagues, we found that people identify our shop with, ‘Hunneman’ ... and it feels right to use just that single name after all our history in the Boston market; we are still an affiliate with NAI but we think the name alone works great. It feels fresh and ready for us to continue our growth,” added Prozinski. He says the company has created the new brand mark to align with cutting-edge strategies shaped by its leadership team.

Prozinski is a Boston real estate veteran with more than 25 years of experience at the highest levels. As CEO, Prozinski resumes responsibility for all operations across all divisions. In addition, he specifically oversees the company’s property management division and its growth. He says it was time to, “reintroduce our well-stated services and independence to the next generation ... the past few years have seen some drastic changes to the real estate landscape, with all the bigger shops under stress to get bigger ... and some needing to grow to appease shareholders, but we remain the largest independent real estate firm in New England looking to grow at our own pace.”

Peter Evans is assisting in managing the company’s daily operations and its strategic direction for growth. Additionally, Evans directs the Urban Advisory Group. He is considered an industry thought leader with decades of experience. Prior to joining Hunneman in 2015, Evans had a position with Newmark as Director of Management Services. He was also a Principal with NPV Direct Invest for a dozen years, where he was responsible for managing portfolio-wide leasing, asset management, and raising equity for acquisitions.

The new alignment has its chairman eager to see the next chapter of the company. “Hunneman is fortunate to have two of the very best real estate professionals working together under one roof,” said chairman Stuart Pratt. “Their strategic vision combined with their commitment to client service will continue to grow this company’s reputation as a true leader in the New England - and global real estate markets.”

Hunneman’s strategic growth includes major investments in technology and people. “We’ve hired a few in research, marketing, management, and brokerage. We’ve also hired a couple of interns to the firm and look to continue growing with a younger group,” acclaimed Prozinski. The firm has also rolled out a new streamlined website with a focus on services, history of transactions, current listings, and its vision.

Hunneman also launched Hunneman Cares, a charitable program that gives back to local communities. “Culture is a key part of Hunneman and we believe in giving back to the communities where we work in and live,” Prozinski states. “We recently beautified neighborhood parks in Roxbury, and funded educational programs to train students in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other trades, as well as increase support for student internships. We take great pride in partnering with non-profits and other local companies to strengthen the community. We look forward to continuing to grow this program in the future.”

“We are firm believers in collaboration and teamwork,” added Evans. “We reward fresh ideas and want our clients to know that they are being represented not by a single broker, but by a team of dedicated professionals working to ensure their continued success.”
