Dacon Breaks Ground on Expeditors of Washington’s New Peabody Office/Warehouse

PEABODY–A groundbreaking ceremony took place at 795 Jubilee Drive to celebrate supply chain management company Expeditors International of Washington’s new office and warehouse project. The new building will include two floors of office space and a warehouse, totaling 140,000 sq ft. In addition, 150 members will be employed at the Peabody location, 60 of which reside on the North Shore. The site is expected to be completed by March 2019.
Expeditors is partnering with Dacon Corporation, a Natick-based design and build construction management firm. Dacon has designed and constructed over a dozen projects in Centennial Park including the building Expeditors is presently occupying. The civil engineering firm for the project is Meridian Associates, Inc., of Beverly and Westborough, and the geotechnical engineer is McArdle Gannon Associates, Inc., of Pembroke.
795 Jubilee Drive is a development project of the Lucey family. The Lucey family has been developing property in Peabody for over 20 years, including the current home of Expeditors’ Boston District office at 3 Technology Drive.
Expeditors’ Boston District Office currently has over 250 global locations and has been located in the Centennial Office Park in Peabody since 1997. Expeditors takes pride in supporting the growing number of manufacturers and domestic/international trade companies that are instrumental to the Northeast United States’ economic growth.
