BOSTON—Colliers recently signed new tenants to The RMR Group’s 9 Galen Street in Watertown. The building will soon house Core States Group and Socomec, Inc. at 4,500 and 5,700 square feet respectively. Both tenants will relocate from Cambridge in the coming months to build upon 9 Galen Street’s multi-tenanted environment. According to The RMR Group, the inner suburban property offers an experience similar to Cambridge with brick and beam space, transit accessibility, and walkable amenities, only without the high rents.

Cresa’s John Coakley represented Core States Group, while Patrick Verbeke from KW Commercial represented Socomec, Inc. Colliers representatives for The RMR Group included President James Elcock, Executive Vice President John Carroll III, Senior Vice President Bill Lynch, Vice President Jason Rexinis, and Associate Nora Smith.

The Colliers team was able to market the Riverbend property’s upgraded lobbies, new fitness center, shared conference space and training center, surface and garage parking, and other modern infrastructure and amenities to attract this new tenant line-up. “Activity has been incredibly strong at 9 Galen Street,” says Rexinis. “It embodies so many of the characteristics that today’s tenant desires and will likely continue gaining momentum until lease-up is complete.” The building also benefits from public transportation access immediately at its front door and various restaurants, shops, and convenience amenities in Watertown Square within walking distance.
