Azzur Cleanrooms First to Lease at Five-Building Devens Life Science Campus via Stevens Group

DEVENS – Proving the continued white-hot demand for Life Science facilities in greater Boston is not cooling off anytime soon, Amanda Snell, President of The Stevens Group, represented Azzur Cleanrooms on Demand (COD), an Azzur Group company, in the 103,496 sf lease of the purpose-built lab/biomanufacturing facility located at 45 Jackson Road in Devens, MA.

Built on a speculative basis by King Street Properties, It is the first building to be constructed and leased within the planned 45-acre life science campus, which will be comprised of five buildings totaling 700,000 sf, geared towards life science and biomanufacturing tenants. Far from Cambridge, where Kendall Square is considered the epicenter of Bio/Life Science development, the new campus is considered a bold move by the Boston-based King Street team, and a great fit for the cleanroom company.

“Azzur Group is thrilled to join the Devens, MA life science community. Azzur COD in Devens will provide an additional footprint for biotech and pharmaceutical clients with cleanrooms, as well as the GMP, labs, and compliance services needed to bring their science to market faster,” said Dan Dernbach, Vice President of Global Operations, Azzur COD. “We’re grateful to Amanda Snell and The Stevens Group for their representation as we establish our third and largest COD location aimed at serving the Boston-Cambridge bio-pharma industry.”

“After a rigorous search for the right building that could meet Azzur’s infrastructure and design requirements, we were pleased to locate 45 Jackson Road for their newest Cleanrooms on Demand facility,” affirmed Snell. “We look forward to watching their continued growth and success in the New England region and beyond.” Snell provided advisory services to Azzur Group and negotiated on their behalf, and Brian McKenzie of CBRE represented King Street Properties.
