Suffolk Ventures Hires Veteran Myerson from Boston Planning & Devlopment for New VP RoleMarch 05, 2019
BOSTON—Suffolk Ventures, an affiliate of Suffolk Construction Company, has hired Sara Myerson, the former Director of Planning for the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA), as its new Vice President.
According to a release, Suffolk Ventures provides late stage pre-development capital to real estate developers for select projects nationally that can meet its targeted investor returns. Leveraging a close affiliation with national contractor Suffolk Construction, Suffolk Ventures assists eligible projects with their pre-construction capital raise and pre-development processes.

Prior to her new position at Suffolk Ventures, Myerson served as the Director of Planning at the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) where she oversaw the agency’s work related to planning, urban design and zoning with a focus on working in partnership with the community to guide inclusive growth and shape the future of Boston. Prior to joining the BPDA, Ms. Myerson served as the Chief of Staff and Director of Policy at Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) in Boston, a nonprofit developer dedicated to preserving and creating affordable homes for low- and moderate-income households. She began her career at Goldman Sachs where she spent time in the Urban Investment Group (UIG) and the Investment Banking Division.John Fish Sara Myerson
