Lyndra Inc. Leases 14,450 SF in Healthcare Hub of Watertown

WATERTOWN–Newmark Grubb Knight Frank recently negotiated a 14,450-square-foot lease to Lyndra, Inc. on behalf of Cresset Development, the owner of the property. The 120,000-square-foot building is located at 65 Grove Street in Watertown, Massachusetts and stands well-equipped to house medical, R&D, and life science workspaces.

Cresset purchased the building in 2014 because the location made it a viable investment. It recently completed curb appeal projects in addition to adding new HVAC, mechanicals, electrical systems, and roof to make it more energy efficient. The nearby bike trail and neighborhood amenities, along with the close proximity to Cambridge and Downtown Boston, add to the three-story building’s appeal as a work and living space.

“We are pleased to add another dynamic and growing firm to 65 Grove Street on behalf of Cresset,” noted Phil Giunta, Executive Managing Director at Newmark. George Nugent, Executive Managing Director, and Dan Krysiak, Senior Managing Director, also represented Cresset Development in the lease agreement, while Commonwealth Standard Realty negotiated for Lyndra, Inc. “ This location offers Lyndra the ability to expand its office/lab space in a newly renovated building, but to remain in the same neighborhood, added Giunta.”

Lyndra Inc. will soon benefit from the features of 65 Grove Street while maintaining its Watertown roots when it moves from nearby 134 Coolidge Avenue. The healthcare company known for developing long-lasting medications joins numerous other medical firms in the area, including Tufts Health Plan, AthenaHealth, Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals, and Forma Therapeutics.
