Franklin Realty Inks Knight-Dik Insurance To 10-Year 6,739 SF In Downtown Worcester

WORCESTER—Franklin Realty Advisors, the developer of downtown Worcester’s Mercantile Center, has signed a 10-year lease agreement with Knight-Dik Insurance Agency, Inc. The full-service independent insurance agency will occupy 6,739 square-feet of class A office space at 120 Front Street beginning in early 2019.

“We are pleased to welcome one of our areas top insurance agencies to our Mercantile Center business community,” said Charles “Chip” Norton, President of Franklin Realty Advisors. “Our central downtown location, proximity to neighborhood amenities, and first-class office space make Mercantile Center a compelling, strategic choice for Knight-Dik as well as a range of business sizes and industries.”

Jim Umphrey of Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates handled the transaction. Kelleher & Sadowsky has represented both 100 and 120 Front Street in all Mercantile’s leasing efforts since 2004.

In business for more than a century, Knight-Dik will relocate its Worcester-based employees from 446 Main Street to Mercantile Center at 120 Front Street, occupying the space as early as the 2nd quarter of 2019. The company represents businesses and individual clients in Worcester and Central Massachusetts.
